Lens Lab Matlab App

This article presents LensLab, a Matlab app that allows users to interactively simulate and explore classical optics through lens manipulation. The app features collimated and diverging light rays, adjustable focal lengths, and the ability to add or delete lenses. Users can drag lenses to change positions and adjust focal lengths by dragging near lens edges, enabling the design of simple to complex optical systems like telescopes. The underlying physics uses thin lens approximations for ray tracing. The article is a technical tutorial/guide for a software tool related to programming (Matlab) and technology (simulation), making it relevant to the IT/TECHNOLOGY project.
