GHQR: GitHub Quick Review

This article presents GitHub Quick Review (ghqr), a CLI tool developed by Microsoft that scans GitHub enterprises, organizations, and repositories to produce detailed reports and recommendations aligned with the GitHub Well-Architected Framework. The framework covers five pillars: productivity, collaboration, application security, governance, and architecture. The tool evaluates settings across security, access control, branch protection, Copilot, governance, audit logs, community, actions, dependencies, and metadata. Findings are prioritized by severity and output in Markdown, Excel, or JSON formats. Installation instructions for Linux, macOS, Windows, and Docker are provided.
