This technical article explains the challenge of resolving AWS Route53 private hosted zone DNS names from Docker containers on a system using systemd-resolved. It details why the default Docker DNS (8.8.8.8) fails for private VPC names and presents a solution using a custom Golang utility to fetch and set the VPC's DNS server for the Docker daemon, enabling private DNS resolution.
