A Mini DAW in the Python REPL

This article details the evolution of a music theory library into a functional mini DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) within the Python REPL. It covers drum synthesis from scratch using sine waves, noise, and FM synthesis, with 27 sounds and 58 pattern presets. Bass and pad parts are created with customizable synth waveforms, envelopes, and effects like reverb, chorus, and delay. Automation via parameter changes and LFOs allows dynamic modulation.
