Introducing sso-users – A Fast Go CLI for vCenter SSO User Auditing

This article introduces sso-users, a lightweight Go application that connects to VMware Directory Service (vmdir) over LDAPS to audit local SSO users in vCenter environments. It retrieves user details like username, UPN, disabled/locked state, password expiration dates, and days remaining. The tool supports human-readable table output and JSON format for automation, and includes a built-in REST API with bearer token authentication for integration with monitoring systems, dashboards, and CI/CD pipelines. Designed for security compliance and audits, it runs on Linux, Windows, and macOS without dependencies. The project is open source and available on GitHub.
