Pasted File Editor

This article describes a prototype tool called 'Pasted File Editor' built by the author using Codex desktop. It functions as a text editor that automatically attaches pasted files or text content of 1,000 characters or more below the editor, keeping the editor text unchanged. Users can view attached files as previews or in full, remove files via drag-and-drop, file selection, or clipboard paste. The tool also supports opening files directly, including images shown as thumbnails. The author was inspired by Claude's ability to detect large pastes and convert them into file attachments.
