Pasted File Editor

This article describes a 'Pasted File Editor' tool that allows users to create and manage a text editor with automatic file attachment capabilities. Users can paste files or text content of 1,000 characters or more to attach them below the editor without altering the editor text. Attached files can be viewed as previews or in full, and removed as needed. The tool supports drag-and-drop, file selection, and clipboard paste functionality. The author was inspired by Claude.ai's large paste detection and built this prototype using Codex desktop. It also supports opening files directly, including images shown as thumbnails.
