CORS Chat

This article introduces CORS Chat, a web-based tool built to facilitate direct communication with any OpenAI Responses-compatible API endpoint that supports CORS headers. It allows users to configure endpoints with custom headers, save conversations locally in the browser, and manage multiple chat sessions with different models and reasoning settings. The author developed it to test Qwen 3.8 27B running in LM Studio on both an M5 MacBook Pro and an NVIDIA DGX Spark. The tool has been verified to work with LM Studio (with the --cors option) and OpenRouter. It also features progressive rendering of SVG images generated during streaming responses. Conversations can be exported as JSON.
