Any Nix package, live in your browser

Farid Zakaria's trynix.dev uses qemu-wasm to run an x86_64 Linux VM entirely in the browser via WebAssembly, booting any Nix package from the past 13 years. Packages are URL-addressable, so you can load an interactive shell for a specific version, like Python 3.6.2 from 2017. It also powers trynix-preview, a GitHub Action that comments a link to boot a pull request's build in the browser, with no servers required.
