Six-Month Delay Of Java 9 Release

Oracle's Chief Architect Mark Reinhold has proposed delaying the Java 9 release by six months to March 2017. The delay is attributed to Project Jigsaw (JSR 376), which needs more time for development, review, and to allow tool and IDE maintainers to implement proper support. The new schedule pushes key milestones like Feature Complete and General Availability accordingly.
